In the anti-government demonstrations of recent days in Iran, we have seen Iranian women who not only actively participate in these protests but organize and lead them.
Women and girls are also actively engaged in clandestine activities against the regime and in support of the Iranian Resistance, including writing on the walls.
Such activities entail high risk of long prison sentences and even execution if the activist is arrested. Nevertheless, Iranian women and girls are willing to pay the price of their own and their people’s freedom.
In the pictures and video clips sent to the Iranian Resistance in recent months, we can see young women engaged in these activities, two of which have been chosen for this news piece
.
In one of these pictures, we see a young woman in Kermanshah, western Iran, writing on the wall, “Hail to Rajavi (leader of the Iranian opposition)”.
In another picture from Shushtar (southwestern Iran), we can see the slogan, “Maryam Rajavi: No to compulsory veil, no to compulsory religion, no to compulsory government.”
